EP C/B EP, Battles' beautifully packaged first album on Warp is out Monday.

“this is great, brilliantly original raw music that's certainly not the last we will hear from what will soon be the name on everyone's lips.” - Boomkat

Having sold out their first London headline show since signing to Warp over a month before the event (on 16th Feb at The Luminaire), a second show has been announced at Dingwalls in Camden on Tuesday 25th April as part of a broader UK and Europe album tour. Full details are in the live section below.

Prefuse 73

TLS

TLS

From the sampled air of dissent that opens the album, to the indignant synth lines that permeate the tracks, it is clear that Security Screenings, the new mini-album by Prefuse 73, is Scott Herren's protest record.

When you learn that the music was inspired by the disillusioning travel experiences encountered whilst promoting his last smash Security Screenings, this brings a fascinating theme of order to the instrumental sonic chaos.

Including collaborations with Four Tet and TV On The Radio, Security Screenings is out on Monday.

“God bless airport security in America and the countries that are a part of the "Coalition of the Willing." - Prefuse 73 “Scott Herren wreaks digital punishment on slumbering rap fools” - Flux

Jimmy Edgar

TLS

TLS

Following two well-received EPs, the debut long-player from Detroit's Jimmy Edgar is finally ready to drop on 20th February (in the UK this is vinyl and download only, the CD follows on 3rd April).

Color Strip expands his electro-sleeze vision over an hour of scalpel-sharp synths and hip-shaking rhythms, these are dance tunes that you can hum as you gyrate. Sounding like Timbaland producing Metro Area under the watchful eye of Carl Craig, it's the pop album that they play at the discotheque you've never been to…or could never get into.

Jimmy puts it simply, "I just do things".

All orders of Color Strip in Warpmart will come with a free 'Rhythm Denial' CD, a beatless downtempo mix of the album by Jimmy. While stocks last.

Warp Sale

There is a Warp sale happening right now at your favourite independent UK retail establishments including some of the finest albums ever to leave Warp HQ. A large range of albums are available from £5.

Sale in Warpmart

Warpmart has a small number of Warp 2006 label sampler CDs to give away with all orders over £50.

Rubber Johnny

Chris Cunningham’s twisted masterpiece is competing at the influential International Short Film Festival in Clermont-Ferrand, France, running until 4th February.

More info on the festival’s official site

Nightmares on Wax

George Evelyn makes his long-awaited return with a digital-only single, Passion (edit) on 13th February. This is ahead of new album In A Space Outta Sound, out 6th March (20th March in the UK).

Passion is the signature tune, the trademark warm welcome. Once again the Nightmares seal is evident; rhythms infectious in their simplicity, blues infused time signatures overlaid by Quincy Jones-esque synth lines, the inherent fusion of relaxed dub and Balearic melodies.

There is also a special UK tour to look forward to. NoW will be on the road with the legendary Iration Steppas Soundsystem that needs to be heard (or felt) to be believed. Check the Live section below for details.

Chris Clark

Chris is on tour with 65daysofstatic across the length and breadth of the UK in February and March (see Live Listings below for a full list of dates).

There will be a limited 5-track EP of brand new tracks released on 3” CD to coincide with the tour, his first new material since 2003. Entitled Throttle Furniture, it will only be available to buy at the shows or from Warpmart and Bleep from February 25.

EP opener, 'Herr Barr' will feature on his forthcoming long-player, due to drop later this year. The rest will be exclusive to this release.

Gravenhurst

Gravenhurst is to release a new digital-only single on 20th February. Animals, taken from the album Fires In Distant Buildings, is backed with the new b-side (in a digital sense, obviously) 'Herne The Hunter' and is already getting heavy rotation in mainland Europe!

The band is on tour in Europe too through February and March. See Live Listings below for the full spec.
